#Human japanese intermediate crack update
UPDATE : Memrise has now released 3 verified courses for Japanese. I feel this is the holy grail of all vocabulary courses. It is a huge load of vocabulary, and while a lot of the words are arbitrary katakana, it’s set up in a way to where you learn all of the kanji readings at once and A LOT of vocabulary, 6000 words in total. The downside is that it’s only good for vocabulary. I suggest adding the course “JLPT N5 Part 1” for now, which is huge in itself. There are 5 testing levels of difficulty, 5 being the easiest and 1 being the hardest. I initially used the course that’s made for the JLPT, which is the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. It uses mnemonics to remember vocabulary and tests you on words regularly. Memrise - A really useful iPhone app and website. The only thing to be careful of is that some of the sentences they make are technically correct, but if you actually say them to Japanese people, they’re going to think you’re very arrogant and rude. It explains grammar and Japanese language in general. It explains things very simply and there are two pronunciations, one fast, and one slow.

Mirai Japanese- Unfortunately, only an iPhone app, but very helpful for beginners. I’ll elaborate on it in the first few lessons, but you get the idea. When I learned it, I even used the alphabet song to remember it. And how hard is it to memorize an alphabet? You’ve done it before for English. If you don’t know it, you just won’t learn Japanese. Simple Kana Charts- I cannot stress more the importance of learning the kana alphabets. !NEW! things that I find most useful are bolded.

Here’s a really great masterpost of masterposts. If I try one of the resources from a masterpost below, it will be italicized with a “thumbs up” or a “so-so” (since none of these are bad.) This is currently being edited to include links from every master post I can find. I use them a lot and they’re the basis of the lessons I make. So here are the apps and websites I highly suggest.
